Staff, Parents and Community Involvement

At Botany Downs Secondary College we believe that all students should be actively participating in some sports and it is great to see parents getting involved as well. This not only motivates your child but also other children.

Students love to see you on the side-line or getting even more actively involved in their activities. All sports that our students play require parental involvement and there are several ways that you can help and encourage your child.

We need help...

Coaches, managers, drivers, supervisors, supporters, help with looking after uniforms and equipment, transport providers (you may be able to organise a car-pool), plus occasional catering. So there is something for everyone to do.

We are also asking for lots of positive support and encouragement for both teams as well as match officials from the sidelines.

It does not have to be the same sport or at the same level as your child is playing.

Whatever you do, you can be assured that the students will appreciate and benefit from your involvement, and hopefully you will enjoy the closer contact with the college.

We have dedicated staff to help drive and support the co-curricular programme, so if you have any questions or are able to help our teams/groups in any way please do not hesitate to contact the relevant Sports Co-ordinator...
