The price per book is $25.00. \nBooks will be pre-ordered based on full payment. The cost of the book will be added to all student accounts. Please pay directly online or at the Finance Centre. Use the reference ‘School Yearbook’ and Student ID. \nIf you would like to allocate funds in your credit balance to purchase this yearbook\, you must inform Mrs Angela O’Shaughnessy in the Finance Centre bdscfees@bdsc.school.nz. \nPayments will close on Friday 24 October (Term 4\, Week 3). If you do not wish to purchase a yearbook\, you do not need to do anything – this charge will be removed from the student accounts after Friday 24 October. \nThe yearbook will be delivered to Junior students in their tutor classes. Senior students will be able to collect their ordered books from the Student Services from Monday 24 November 2025.

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=””]Nominations are invited for the election of one student to join the School Board. The term of standing starts from Term 4 and will finish at the end of Term 3. \nThis role requires a dedicated and attentive student who must have the college’s best interests at heart. A high level of confidentiality is also a must. \nThis student will be required to attend the monthly board meetings which are usually held on a Monday from 5.30pm to approximately 8pm\, including dinner. \nAny student enrolled at BDSC as of today will be eligible to stand. A list of enrolled (eligible) students will be available for viewing in the SLT Office Lobby.\n \nPlease see the Student Representative Handbook for more information about this role. \nPlease note that candidates will be required to provide a written statement (max of 250 words) and may also be asked to address college assembly before voting takes place. \nYou may nominate yourself. DESCRIPTION:For parents and students in Year 11-13 who do not have their numeracy and literacy co-requisites.\nThis evening will focus on the Literacy and Numeracy Co-requisite\, a critical qualification that all students must achieve. The session will provide a clear overview of what the co-requisite involves and offer practical guidance on how you to best support your child in successfully attaining it.  \nWith only seven weeks remaining before their final opportunity to sit the CAA in 2025\, it is essential that we work together to ensure they are well-prepared. While there will be further opportunities in 2026 for students returning to school\, we cannot stress enough the importance of achieving this qualification as soon as possible.  \nDuring the evening\, we will outline the interventions and support being implemented at school to assist your child. Equally important\, we will discuss how you can provide support at home. A wrap-around approach is vital—while the school is committed to doing all it can\, your involvement will play a key role in your child’s success.  \nWe strongly encourage you to attend this session to ensure your child is fully supported in reaching this important milestone.

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nThe SGCNZ Victoria University of Wellington Sheilah Winn Festival\, Regional Competition Auckland South and East\, will be hosted at Macleans College. \nPerformances begin at 10:30am\, followed by judging and results will be given on the day. \nAll schools in the region have been invited to take part in the festival which celebrates the work of William Shakespeare. \nPerformances of 15-minute (teacher directed and student directed) and 5-minute (student directed) Shakespeare extracts are entered into the festival. \nTwo assessors judge the performances with two performances being chosen to represent the region at the National Festival in Wellington\, Queens Birthday weekend. \nThe assessors also have to opportunity to enter one student for direct entry to NSSP Workshop Week later in the year\, with the chance to go to the Globe UK for three and a half weeks workshops and performances at the Globe in London. \nJudging will happen on the day. \nFor more\, visit www.sgcnz.org.nz[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
