On Friday 17 May, we celebrated Pink Shirt Day along with the rest of Aotearoa to stand against bullying, celebrate diversity, and spread kindness. It was great to see so many students dressed in pink to show that we stand together as a school community.
Along with the mufti-day, the Hauora Council organised activities to help bring awareness to bullying in New Zealand schools. These activities included a t-shirt designing competition, writing positive notes for the people we are grateful for, and a pink-themed bake sale.
We hope that our BDSC community will continue to stand against bullying and promote kindness not only on Pink Shirt Day but daily.
