Visual Arts Teacher – Junior Art & Senior Painting (NCEA Level 3)
We are seeking an inspiring, energetic, creative, and collaborative teacher to join our Visual Arts department. The successful applicant will teach Art at the junior level and Painting through to NCEA Level 3. Please indicate any additional specialist subject areas you may offer.
This position is suitable for beginning teachers, although New Zealand teaching experience is an advantage. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an awareness of current educational practice and a commitment to fostering student engagement and achievement.

Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

We are looking for a collaborative and student-focused Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our dedicated Learner Support Department.
This role involves supporting the Head of Learner Support and is ideal for a primary or intermediate trained teacher.
The successful candidate will possess strong classroom and behaviour management skills and the ability to support teachers with differentiation strategies.
While SENCO experience is advantageous, it is not essential for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Head of Learner Support to lead and engage staff, students, and parents.
- Manage and coordinate implementation of IEPs.
- Collaborate with curriculum leaders and teachers to support the implementation of differentiation.
- Work collaboratively with other team members, showing respect, enthusiasm, and commitment.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety requirements and role model best practices.
- Liaise with a variety of outside agencies in terms of support students with learning or behavioural challenges.
- Oversee the assistive technology used by students.
Skills:
- Ability to upskill and empower teachers to implement strategies for teaching students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of teaching methodologies
