Recommended BYOD Devices

The team at New Era Technology have worked with Botany Downs Secondary College to come up with these recommended devices to enable students to complete all the necessary schoolwork at home and in class.

Our uniform is only sold through the BDSC Uniform Shop located to the right as you face our Reception block.

We have a College Uniform Code that is agreed to by parents/guardians and students upon enrolment.

Once a student has agreed to become part of our college, he/she must adhere to the college standards. BDSC is proud of the positive reputation it enjoys in the community and presentation contributes to this;

we are proud that our students present themselves so well.

We appreciate that parents/guardians support the high expectations we have for students who attend with regard to uniform, attendance, learning, and work presentation.

Please refer to Section 24 in the Parent Guardian Handbook  to ensure uniforms purchased meet the standards agreed to at enrolment. In particular, the requirements for shoes, skirts, and trousers.

We recommend that all students purchase a college hat to wear outside during PE or for travel to and from college.

Summer code required for Terms 1 and 4.
Winter code required for Terms 2 and 3.

Uniform items are available from the BDSC Uniform Shop.

Once again we will be using a booking system to fit uniform for the upcoming 2023 school year.

Due to the closure of Auckland Schools as per directive of the Ministry of Education we have updated the trading hours of the Uniform shop operating from within the college.

Bookings scheduled for Tuesday 31 January and Wednesday 1 February have been cancelled. We have allocated new days to the current booking system and urge parents and caregivers to make new online booking system appointments for those students who still need to purchase uniform.

Please visit, using the code: u2kr3

For any uniform inquiries, please contact the Uniform Shop Assitant Lizzie Te Hira by email

Families with siblings or with multiple students requiring a uniform need to book one student per fitting. Please note that there are separate fitting rooms for boys’ and girls’ uniform items. The girls’ room and the boys’ room each have four fitting spaces. If the first room is unavailable at the time you require, you may wish to go back and select a different fitting room number to check availability.

Once you have submitted your booking, an email confirmation will be sent to you. Please bring this confirmation with you when you attend your scheduled booking time.

In addition to the standard uniform, optional female trousers are available for all girls in Years 11-13.

*If you already know your sizes & do not wish to be fitted for uniform, you don’t need to make a booking, you may come to purchase what you require at any stage during the uniform shop opening hours.

Payment Options

Payment by cash, Eftpos and credit card is available.

The College Donation may be paid with the uniform if desired.

The Uniform Shop will purchase second hand uniform under the following conditions:
• The uniform is in excellent condition
• There have been no alterations made to the uniform
• All items have been washed
• All items must be ironed where possible

Botany Downs Secondary College expects a high standard of dress from their students therefore we are unable to purchase items that do not meet this standard.
