BDSC Eco Art Competition

Art is one of humanity’s oldest forms of communication, and to this day is one of the most effective ways of bringing people together. On Saturday 4 October, BDSC Enviroschools hosted our first ever Eco Art Competition. We had seventeen artists present their work during the exhibit in the Diversity Centre on Tui Rd, spotlighting six artists from our own school.MORE

Chinese Song Contest

Two students from Year 13 Chinese class participated in the Chinese Song Contest held by Confucius Institute at Victoria University of Wellington to showcase their talents. Congratulations to Candice Wang 13K6 and Nicole Ding 13J5 for winning the Creative Performance Award in the Secondary category.MORE

Year 9 Chinese Class Making Mooncake

At the end of Term 3, our Year 9 Chinese class was given the opportunity to learn about the Mid-Autumn festival and its celebratory food, the Mooncake. Our teacher, Laoshi Kuang, invited some mooncake experts to teach us about the Mid-Autumn festival. We learned the Chinese name of the festival and its pronunciation, the traditional story behind it, and how people in China celebrate it!MORE
