Blueprint Street Dance Compeitition 2024
In the July holidays, our team of nineteen dancers competed in the Blueprint Street Dance Schools Competition. The student leaders were Kyra Singh 12S10, Sienna Walmsley 12E8, and Eric Zhou 12S10. They choreographed a three-minute routine melding different street styles to a self-cut track featuring songs such as Voulez Vous by Abba, Drop by Timbaland, and 7-11 by Beyonce.MORE
Showquest 2024
In the last week of Term 2, our team of 38 dancers took to the stage of the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre at the Aotea Centre to compete in the annual Showquest competition. The performance was the culmination of two terms of hard work with one afternoon and two morning rehearsals each week. MORE
Marae Trip
On Tuesday 18 June, both Year 12 and 13 Chinese classes travelled to Te Hana Te Ao Marama, Auckland’s leading Māori cultural centre to experience tikanga Māori and tikanga Marae. We immersed ourselves in Māori culture through many different traditional protocols and practices like the pōwhiri. MORE

Japan Trip 2024
During the Term 2 winter holidays, 16 students from Years 11-13 had the pleasure of travelling to Japan alongside Mrs Troughear and Ms Lodge for a two week long trip. MORE
Pasifika Language Week
This year, our school’s Pasifika Council was blessed with the opportunity to coordinate our very first Pasifika Languages Week at BDSC! The week was jam-packed with many activities related to Pacific Island culture including crafts workshops, dance performances, as well as a food sale with some of our Pacific Island’s finest dishes and comforting favourites.MORE
