Success at NZSS Culinary Challenge

Kate Sole 13J5 and Georgia Sole 13J11 participated in the Regional NZ Secondary Schools Culinary Challenge (NSSCC).

For this, they had to produce two identical entrée portions of a dish containing lamb loin, kumara, two locally grown vegetables and one rescued kitchen product.MORE

In Term 2, our music department has been busy! They attended the annual Discovery Concert by the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, participated in an Orchestra and Jazz Band workshop, and got valuable insights into Songwriting Competitions from the Play it Strange Foundation.MORE

On Friday 30 May, a group of 12 Botany students and their teachers met at 4.30am at Auckland Airport to wing their way to Wellington and take part in the national finals of the SGCNZ Shakespeare Festival at St James Theatre.MORE

Duke of Edinburgh – Gold Award

Congratulations to Olivia Dixon (13E2 in 2024) on achieving her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. In the Gold award, participants are required to undertake a service, develop a skill, and participate in a physical recreation activity each of which must be completed over a period of 12 months. At the Gold level, a 5th section is added which is the residential project. MORE

Blueprint Street Dance Compeitition 2024

In the July holidays, our team of nineteen dancers competed in the Blueprint Street Dance Schools Competition. The student leaders were Kyra Singh 12S10, Sienna Walmsley 12E8, and Eric Zhou 12S10. They choreographed a three-minute routine melding different street styles to a self-cut track featuring songs such as Voulez Vous by Abba, Drop by Timbaland, and 7-11 by Beyonce.MORE

Showquest 2024

In the last week of Term 2, our team of 38 dancers took to the stage of the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre at the Aotea Centre to compete in the annual Showquest competition. The performance was the culmination of two terms of hard work with one afternoon and two morning rehearsals each week. MORE
