The BDSC Jazz Band, Choir, and Chamber Groups were invited to perform on Friday 13 June at the Uxbridge Arts Centre. The Fridays@Twelve series is an exceptional way to highlight students’ musical talent from the local colleges.
The Jazz Band were up first, performing three pieces that were Samba, Blues, and funk-rock styled. Students played their solos with passion and the music was arranged by their conductor, Mr Hamish Arthur.
Next the Chamber Trios performed, Sonoro Trio and 3 Long Xiao Bao, who showed amazing musicianship with their technical skills. The choir, led by Dr Anthony Young, left the crowd stunned.
The experience was a wonderful opportunity that many of us will remember for years to come. We would like to thank Mrs Causer for making sure that we were ready to go.
