Congratulations to Syri Albrett Stafford 10E2, Taki Chen 10E8, Vidhita Bhatti 10J17, Sonia Leung 10J5, Starz Tawhara 10E2 who make up the team Bye to Germs, winners of the Microsoft Global Imagine Cup Junior A.I for Good Challenge at Australia and New Zealand Regional Awards.
Imagine Cup Junior provides students aged 13 to 18 with the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge technology and how it can be used to positively change the world. Once they have learned about the technology, they dream up a world changing idea to solve a social, cultural, health or environmental challenge.
Bye to Germs winning idea was to create a Germ scanning app to improve the hygiene in everyone’s daily lives even people that are blind or have visual impairments. The app will impact daily lives by helping us detect the percentage of harmful bacteria on different surfaces.
Congratulations to Mr Sharma (HOD Commerce) for winning the Teacher Commendation Award at the Microsoft Australian New Zealand Imagine Cup Junior Finals.
