On Thursday 14 May, 13 BDSC students from the Leadership Committee visited Somerville Intermediate to deliver four leadership workshops focused on developing qualities of future leaders. The workshops covered key areas such as communication, teamwork, public speaking, and goal setting.
Throughout the day, BDSC student leaders had the opportunity to interact closely with Somerville’s student leaders through group activities and discussions. At the end of the workshops, students applied what they had learned by working in groups to present one change they would like to make within their school community. They shared many exciting and creative ideas, and showed us the potential of our future changemakers.
It was incredibly rewarding for our students to act as role models and share their experiences with younger leaders. Thank you to everyone involved in making this opportunity possible.
