Students from Year 12 and 13 Chinese classes achieved outstanding results in the 16th New Zealand Chinese Calligraphy Competition, organised by the Confucius Institute at the University of Canterbury.
With over 1,400 entries nationwide, our school shone brightly: Kimberley Liu 13S4 won the first prize in the highly competitive Native Brush Calligraphy category (the only first prize awarded), Hannah Guo 12K18 received a second prize in the Native Hard Pen category, Suzy Yang 12S10 and Antony Huang 12E2 achieved third place in the same category. Yuanhui Liu 12D15 received a merit award. This is a remarkable accomplishment.
