Kevin Fu (9J11) is a valuable member of the Premier Boys Tennis team at BDSC.
At only Year 9 he has a bright future ahead of him, as he is already recognised nationally in the sport.
Kevin spent a week and a half of in Bangkok, Thailand, representing New Zealand in the ITF World Junior Tennis Competition Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying Event. This is the qualifying event for ITF World Junior Tennis Finals to be held in Prostejov, Czech Republic later on in the year. Sixteen teams were competing for four qualifying spots in the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals.
New Zealand finished 9th Place overall in the event. Kevin enjoyed the tough matches he had during the week. He won 4 out of 6 singles matches and 1 of the 2 doubles matches in which he played.
