The Outreach Committee was very excited to run the first-ever leadership workshop with the Year 6 students at Willowbank Primary School. This event was a day-long series of workshops that supported the leadership capabilities of their current lead students. We covered practical skills, such as how to make a commanding Power Point presentation, how to deliver an engaging speech, how to solve real-world problems actively and resourcefully, and how to give their peers constructive feedback. The day ended with students being given a scenario, in which they had to apply the leadership skills they had learnt. They needed to come up with an initiative they could implement to solve the problem. We loved getting to see the new generation of leaders start to take action!
